State of the Firm 2011
Aquino & Wolpoff Financial Group, LLC welcomes a new year! After a very successful 2010, 2011 is already promising to be even more productive. In 2010, we experienced many positive changes and developments. For starters, we expanded our office in October of 2010 and we couldn’t be happier! We took over the neighboring suite and now have a larger conference room and much needed extra space. This is the second consecutive year we have moved office space and we finally found our “home”. Please feel free to stop in to check out our new office and the beautiful, historic building at 63 E. Main Street in Downtown Westminster.
We were also pleased to receive Honorable Mention for Carroll’s Best Investment Firm of 2010! As always, through our service and dedication, we will continue to strive to be the best financial firm in the area. To help achieve this, we have developed a wonderful relationship with local attorneys, Property & Casualty Insurance Company and CPA firms. We feel it is important to provide guidance as much as possible by having dependable professionals to refer to our clients.
Steve & Charlie have also enjoyed working with many non-profit organizations including: Community Media Center, Marriage Resource Center and Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County. They are happy to serve the community by being a part of these amazing organizations in any way possible. Steve is also participating tin Leadership Carroll, a premier leadership development program in Carroll County. Its purpose is to provide existing and emerging leaders with a combination of leadership training and detailed knowledge of the community, including a description of the problems, opportunities and issues facing our community. Steve looks forward to applying these skills to his business, family and all life endeavors. Steve is following in the footsteps of Charlie, who participated in Leadership Baltimore County in 2009.
No recap of 2010 would be complete without thanking those who attended our 2010 Client Appreciation Picnic at Ravens’ training camp. In the coming months, look for details regarding our next Client Appreciation Event, in the spring of 2011!
Looking forward to 2011, we are proud to announce that Steve has been elected as this year’s Chairman of the Board for the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce! Steve is eager to serve his fellow Chamber members and to reach out to other small-business owners who could greatly benefit from becoming a part of the Chamber of Commerce. While serving as leaders in the community, Steve and Charlie continue also to hold leadership positions in the financial planning industry. In 2010, Mr. Wolpoff was Chairman of the Board of the Financial Planning Association of MD. Mr. Aquino is also the 2011 President of NAIFA – Maryland! Steve is honored to have been chosen by his NAIFA (National Association for Insurance and Financial Advisors) colleagues. As if he wasn’t busy enough, Steve also starts a new season with his semi-pro football team, the Carroll County Cannons! The season kicks off March 26th.
